AEUP aims to

  • enhance the visibility of member presses
  • facilitate communication between them
  • link the channels of distribution of books
  • share knowledge about all aspects of scholarly publishing
  • strengthen our common mission to support scholarly publishing
  • spread the joint catalog metadata as wide as possible (e.g. via aggregators of book traders, etc.)

AEUP’s members

  • need to be scholarly publishers with an established reviewing system and/or an editorial board.
  • have to be either owned or clearly connected to a university, research institution or scholarly association.
  • can be associate members if they collaborate with a university or research institution.

AEUP survey

We invite all our members, but also other interested university presses and institutional publishers from all over Europe to participate in a > survey. Its aim is to get information on the presses’ needs, challenges, as well as scope the horizon for future questions and opportunities, thus establishing a rounded picture of the actual situation for such presses.
