AEUP is an organisation of and for University Presses across Europe to help them build stronger relationships between them, to co-operate and share knowledge in order to reach common goals and to jointly address important issues in a currently dynamic time in publishing.

AEUP aims to

  • enhance the visibility of member presses
  • facilitate communication between them
  • share knowledge about scholarly publishing
  • strengthen our common mission to support scholarly publishing
  • support university presses in developing Open Access strategies
  • spread the joint catalog metadata

AEUP members

  • need to be scholarly publishers with an established reviewing system and/or an editorial board.
  • have to be either owned or clearly connected to a university, research institution or scholarly association.
  • can be associate members if they collaborate with a university or research institution.
